I bought version 3.3.0 of FIAT ePER last night, installed it but it says it's expired, although the software is from January 2006. WTF ? Anybody got any ideas of what to do to make it work ?
I also know an online ePER, pretty new, but still, the one I bought was newer and should run faster since I run it from my PC.

http://www.spangerum.com:7080 this is the ePER online.

Since around 2003 the ePER software has a built in expiration date of 3 months plus some other anti piracy techniques. To get around the expiry you can set your system clock to before 01/01/06 and it should then work

geekboy, not true. the eper i downloaded off the web worked for more than 3 months. in fact, it never expired. it was either a jan 2005 or jan 2006 edition.

Redd, I stand corrected.

That's what my ePer disk told me when I installed it so I assumed it was still the case. It said that 'Update' disks had to be purchased every 3 months. My copy was already out of date however but shifting the system clock back worked for me.

I did get the dates wrong though my disk is edition 21 from September 2005.

Redd, I've just noticed that you said yours could have been Jan 2005, with my corrected dates that would put your copy from before the expiration measures were put in place.

I have the DVD version 2.7.0, downloaded it off the net and never had any problems with it.

I think I downloaded it using edonkey but you can download an older CD version from here

pascs, that is not ePER it is EDC, big difference.
I got it with my ePER, and I even paid for it, damn it. I set the date to 2005 and now it tells me to insert the original DVD into drive, and the DVD I bought it's in the drive. Damn thieves.

Alexandrus, that's the second part of the copy protection if you have any virtual drives you have to disable them. If it finds any it will not run, although to be honest it's very temperamental and doesn't always run on my PC either.
