Tuesday I refitted the standard air box & GTA intake.

Having driven for almost 2 years without the cone/trumpet in my car I this evening re-fitted the cone/trumpet.

Maybe its the new NGK sparks plugs & Bosch Maf [ fitted < 5k miles ago ] &/or the new Bosch lambda [ fitted < 3k miles ago ] but i cannot see any negative effect of re-fitting it.

Low end performace is no different & the top end it rev's better.

So maybe de-coning is an indicator that your car as an under lying issue that needs either new:

* spark plugs
* maf sensor
* lambda

I feel so typing this... i almost didn't post it.

PS maybe i'm not in the right frame of mind at present so feel free to ignore my "ould man" drivel
