Trying to figure out what the rattling noise is from my engine, i found out that my aux belt isn't very tight.
Is there any way to increase the tension on the belt, or do i have to change the aux belt tensioner?

Must be something wrong, i believe morty said something
about cleaning/freeing the tensioner can save them, still
need to check that no other pulley is at fault.

Isn't there a way to adjust it. Unscrew it, turn it a few degress and then screw it back on.
Is this possible or is there a locating pin or something on the tensioner?
Anuone happen to have a photo of it?

Thanks Furco.
I see that there is a locating pin on the tensioner, so no way to adjust it then
:(
It's new tensioner then

That looks pretty much like the v6 aux belt tensioner. I know there is a locating pin, but don't ask me how, the whole tensioner rotated when moving the bolt.

Maybe there is some slack in the hole that the locating pin goes in and it can move a few degreed perhaps?
Anyone who changed a tensioner knows?

It is tightened so it shouldn't be moving.

Is it a one man job to remove the aux belt, or do you need help?
