Remove front Bumper:
* Wheel arch top & bottom bolt both sides
* Left, centre & Right grill sections [ 6 screws ]
* 4 Torx T30 bolts in top of bumper
* 2 Torx T30s INSDIE of each side of the front bumper & 1 10mm nut, best to access from apit or pulling away the wheel arch liner
* unclip wires to fog lights
Remove Headlights:
Once the bumper is off there are 2 10mm nuts & 3 sets of wires. Use a flat ehaded screw driver to push IN the metal U spring/clamp & then pull BACK the connector
Shows the 10mm nuts, top & bottom
Split the sealant around the lense using a stanley knife:
Remove the lense by unclipping each clip, there are 5:
:
Removing the surround away from headlight:
All apart:
Remove the old sealant from lense & headlight backing:
Use 400 grade to remove the chrome paint off the surrounds & primer:
My lenses were badly marked & the lacquer was starting to peel of, similar to Redd's 1st picture
So with the lenses off its an idea time to re-furbish the lenses:
Using Redd's guide
This was one of my car's lense at the P1200 stage:
B-B gets a brain wave & decides to try the Halford Power Buffer + Brasso + Cif to do final smoothing:
After 'power-buffing'
Clear'd Lense
Surrounds 'matt-black'
Have one lense to do, final coating of matt black on the surrounds & then a re-seal using fill-grip stuff
Update:
Last coat of Matt Black sprayed on, clean cleaned up & sealed with 'Evo-Grip'
