My favourite subject!! (ask Mrs.Trackstar)
I was gona reply to this last night but it would have meant the mods on here deleting most of my post!!
This society is pants! No-one says 'Please' or 'Thank you' or 'excuse me' etc etc etc.
Hold a door open for someone these days and the best you can expect a glare that translates, either 'pervert' or 'I should think so'. Instead of being polite, supermarket staff treat you as a complete inconvenience, pushing trolley's dangerously overloaded towards you, pushing infront of you whilst you are trying to evaluate which tin of tomato soup represents best value, and shouting or chating to fellow members of staff whilst you have to struggle around them with a stupid wobbly trolley. GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!!! I hate supermarket staff!!!!!!
We (old people) used to be expected to show manners wherever we are, ie; everywhere, to everyone. But in this world of "Its my right" its push and shove all the way.
Sadly AND wrongly driving is the worst experience ever! Road rage? Me? Its scary.... REALLY scary how angry tosser drivers make me! My Volvo T5 WILL become a battering ram, my woolly hat a weapon to shove up someones ar*e, and an innocent biro a leathal weapon.
Internet forums? Oh boy people can be SOOO rude and they feel brave, where in 'real' life they would'nt dare speak to you directly the same way (especially if they didnt want to lose half thier teeth to a right hook)
Is it too late? Are people who DO show good manners going to die out completely and give in?
Phew, I feel much better now
Im off to Sainsbury's now to test my resolve, then demon Tweeks to reward myself

I saw a clio with a flat tyre on the motorway recently, as traffic was slow (20mph) and I had a boot full of tools including a trolley jack I pulled over to offer my assitance. As I approached the car I realised it was two young girls who promptly locked the doors looked distinctly worried.
I walked off muttering. |

had similar experiences. Last year for St Georges day i purchased 1,000 St Georges cakes and gave them out for free. (Publisaty stunt for the business)
But the amount of people who didn't believe that they were for free, locked there doors and talked through a crack in the top of there window was unbelievable.
Even more unbelievable was that when thay saw another car / person on the street taking them and smiling / saying thanks. Thay would then winde down the window and call one of the girls over! AND THEN TAKE TWO / THREE CAKES!
Naturally they wouldn't say thank you, just a grunt of achnologment. Made my piss boil.
Folk just dont expect anyone to be doing anything nice these days.

Where did all these Victor Meldrew's come from?
You must live/work or pass through sh%te areas.
I love the town where I live. Everyone is polite and helpful.
I hate the town where I work. Everyone is miserable as sin. No eye-contact. Ever.
